Artificial Intelligence Features

Certain myClassroom features may use third-party artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI and Microsoft Azure.

Artificial intelligence-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Users are responsible for reviewing all generated content before relying on or using it.

Artificial intelligence features are provided as supplemental tools and should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, psychological, or educational advice.

Users must not submit confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying student information through artificial intelligence features.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and related to myClassroom remain exclusively owned by us or our licensors.

This includes, but is not limited to, the application, software, source code, designs, graphics, branding, text, installed assets, and other materials provided as part of myClassroom.

This ownership does not include information entered into myClassroom by users. Users retain any rights they may have in their own original content.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to myClassroom if a user violates these terms, misuses the application, threatens the security of the service, or engages in unlawful activity.

Where reasonably possible, users may be provided with notice before access is terminated. Immediate termination may occur when necessary to protect users, systems, or legal rights.

Disclaimer of Warranties

myClassroom is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that myClassroom will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, myClassroom and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, myClassroom.

This includes damages caused by data loss, service interruption, inaccurate artificial intelligence-generated content, device problems, unauthorized access, or reliance on information provided through the application.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to every user.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of North Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute relating to myClassroom or these terms will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction located in North Dakota, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how myClassroom collects, uses, processes, stores, and protects information.

Information Collected

myClassroom may collect or process the following information:

  • Email addresses used for user identification, authentication, account management, and communication.

  • Subscription status, purchase status, and payment confirmation information received through Stripe, the Apple App Store, or the Google Play Store.

  • Information voluntarily entered by users while using myClassroom features.

  • Text submitted to supported artificial intelligence or speech-processing features.

myClassroom does not directly collect or store complete payment card information. Payment information is handled by the applicable third-party payment provider.

Notes Tool

Audio recorded through the Notes Tool is saved locally on the user’s device.

Audio recorded through the Notes Tool is not uploaded to or stored on myClassroom servers.

Users are responsible for protecting audio files stored on their devices and for deleting those files when they are no longer needed.

Noise Meter Tool

The Noise Meter Tool analyzes audio decibel levels in real time.

The Noise Meter Tool does not record conversations, save audio files, or store audio sessions.

Speech-to-Text and OpenAI Feature

myClassroom includes a tool that allows a user’s speech to be converted into text. The resulting text is then submitted to OpenAI so that OpenAI can generate a response.

When this feature is used:

  • The user’s speech is converted into text.

  • No audio file or permanent audio recording is created by myClassroom.

  • No audio file is saved by myClassroom.

  • No audio file is transferred to OpenAI.

  • Only the converted text is sent to OpenAI.

  • OpenAI processes the text to generate a response.

  • myClassroom does not save a permanent chat record, transcript history, or copy of the generated response.

  • The submitted text and generated response are used only to complete the user’s current request within the feature.

Users must not submit student names, educational records, medical information, account credentials, financial information, or other confidential or personally identifying information through this feature.

Although myClassroom does not retain a chat record, text submitted to OpenAI is processed according to the applicable OpenAI service terms, privacy policy, and data-processing settings.

User-Added Information

Information voluntarily added by users may be stored on secured servers when server storage is necessary to provide myClassroom functionality.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the legal authority to enter or upload any information submitted through myClassroom.

Classes and Routines Text-to-Speech

User-entered text from the Classes and Routines features may be transmitted to Microsoft Azure for artificial intelligence-based text-to-speech conversion.

The text is transmitted when the feature is used so that Microsoft Azure can generate the requested speech output.

myClassroom does not use this transmission to create a separate stored history of the submitted text or generated audio.

According to Microsoft’s Azure Speech documentation, speech-related input is processed for the requested service, data in transit is encrypted, and applicable data-handling practices depend on the specific service and configuration being used.

Additional information is available in Microsoft’s documentation:
